Helping you identify that special Manuka Honey

Look for the Trusted Quality Trademark & Grading System UMF Protecting Your Rights as a Consumer

  • UMF is a quality mark identifying natural unadulterated manuka honey produced in New Zealand that has the special natural property found only in some strains of manuka honey
  • The UMF quality trademark protects your rights as a consumer because not all manuka honey has the special manuka property and among those that do the strength of the property varies

The UMF Grading System - Identifies & Measures Genuine Manuka Honey

  • The UMF grading system appraises natural markers found in Manuka Honey produced in New Zealand, and assures purity and quality (more)
  • The higher the UMF grade the greater the presence of the unique manuka honey attributes
  •  Low Grade:  UMF5 to UMF9
  •  Medium Grade:  UMF10 to UMF15
  •  Superior High Grade:  UMF16+

Checklist to Identify Genuine UMF Manuka Honey:
